Magister Templi (8°=3□) Papers - 2
Part 2 of my Grade of Magister Templi observations.
Goodbye 'Ratio'
The Golden Dawn tradition assigns the development of the Astral Body to the Adeptus Minor grade, but in my opinion this is fully achieved in the Magister Templi grade. Maybe, the terminology used is different among different schools, or I am mistaking my Initiation with a higher one. Also, it appears some authors attribute Astral body to basic emotions, while others describe something resembling Buddhic body. In any case, I have, for the first time in my life, found myself completely at odds with 'Reason' and 'Rationality'. My progress towards achieving my True Will could not proceed further unless I actively separated myself from the critique of appearances. Such level of alignment with the Cosmic Consciousness replaces all material, emotional, ethical (morality and justice), and social considerations of the individual will. Identifying and belonging to a Spiritual Stream, represented under different possible names, became an important pillar of my existence.
Fragmented Word of the Logos
Like some other spiritual authors, I also think that the Word of the Logos and the Aeon, in this present age, is fractured. Multiple Magi, receiving parts of the Light, have risen, which shall cooperatively work towards the same Planetary Plan. This might be due to the improvements in the means of communication, technology, and access to information. Actually, even Aleister Crowley may not have been the last of the Great Magi, but actually the first of the Collective Magi. The reason for this might be the need to produce sufficient leadership reflecting the Divine Will in the various streams of politics, arts, technology, science, literature, exploration, etc. Therefore, we are already living in an age of magicians, surrender, mysticism, leadership and cosmic manifestation. The important thing here is to understand that you are meant for a certain Stream. You cannot achieve your True Will and fateful manifestation through any Stream. The Aspirant shall recognize his Stream, the Magus, the lodge (in whatever expression), and ascertain its connection to the Planetary Intelligence. Only thus he can perform magic.
The Lodge
The full initiation to a Stream is a process different from mental suggestion. The individuality of the mental body is in the mental construct itself. A mathematical proof is not a consensus between consciousness, but a self-evident construct existing in High Nature. Thus, the mental body is a receiving faculty, which can only judge statements and create new statements from existing ones. The Astral body, on the other hand, is a creative faculty residing in the Yetzirah. Hence, every individual desire is both irrational and incompatible with the Planetary Plan. An Aspirant who has awakened to his Destiny, or pressured by external circumstances to awake, finds himself increasingly disturbed by an uncontrolled Astral body. Judging his individuality solely by his Individuality of Mind, opens him up to conflict, loss of influence, denial of social status, and lack of general meaning. The remedy comes from openness to surrender, choosing belonging over individuality, and the appreciation of the Planetary Plan and its seeming irrationality. Then, the individual desire is replaced by the Aim of the Lodge as declared by the Magus. Without any action, declaration, or transformation, the sole practice of this awareness causes magic. Thus, unlimited power lies in complete surrender to the Planetary Logos and his Cosmic Will. The irrationality can be exemplified from economics: The mechanistic view of economic life as formulated in the mental sphere is a pursuit to increase the well-being of humans without end through the most efficient means possible. In that regard, the money spent on building the Pyramids in Ancient Egypt would have better been spent on buying nicer clothes for the people. However, the supreme will of that time decided against a rational course and spared huge resources for building monuments. Replace monuments with exploring Mars, or prohibiting private wealth, or conserving traditions, for contemporary examples. What makes the irrationality as perpetrated by the Lodge different from random craziness is that:
- It reflects the Cosmic Will, and its manifestation serves as a feedback loop and mirror to His Greatness.
- It is relentlessly uttered as the Word by the Magus, who is a vector of the Logos.
- Through fateful events and webs of destiny, it recruits Spiritual Officers, who participate in the Plan as manifestations of their True Will, in an inevitable manner. A destined Officer is not truly born to a real life until he aligns with the Plan.
- The Plan is free from common morality, sense of justice, economic viability, and romantic ideals. It is a rock solid, inevitable, and dominating movement that cannot be explained with rationality.
- Through the Spiritual Work of the Officers, the Plan downloads itself unto the psychic life of the masses, making them surprisingly ordered, efficient, intelligent, and agreeable (as sort of Kunda-buffer).
- All objections to and obstructions of the Plan arise from Rationality, but it is ever divided, ineffective and self-sabotaging. The Plan as arising from the Cosmic Will shall not clash with major spiritual movements, and should be able to suppress adversaries with Spiritual Might alone.
