Magister Templi (8°=3□) Papers - 1

My experience of the Magister Templi grade.

1- Binah energy

The Magister Templi primarily resides in the sephirah of Binah, which means his perception for the Mysteries is opened up. He will often be occupied by charting the maps of influence, dynamics of manifestation, and the entry point of the Divine Will. He will be able to comprehend the shrouded halves of psychoanalysis, sociology, and political philosophy, because the secret half is hidden in the experience of the Supernal Triad. This creates a certain thirst and satisfaction of exclusivity in the Aspirant. The fuel and throttle of the engine of Man are the secret forces that the Magister Templi can align with and study in seclusion.

2- Inevitable action

The Magister Templi is often claimed by the Force, which is the Path of 'The Magician' that connects Binah to Kether. In this sporadic experience of the Ipsissimus consciousness, the Magister Templi practices the notion of inevitable action. In this semi-hypnotic trance state (a positive depersonalization and derealization effect), he feels an absolute lack of desire for anything other than permitted by the Divine Will. This state very often requires absolute stillness. Disturbing the stillness for the slightest egotism, such as 'moving a bit' feels nauseating. When one reaches the Third Order of the Supernal Triad, the Kundalini energy must flow all the way up to Kether and then seek a stream downwards. This is what one cannot find in Aleister Crowley, because this is his institution. The old days of staying in the Order in your position is not feasible any more. Every aspirant is expected to build their personal Order, using the same Forces that used to be only available to advanced practitioners. This has been made apparent in the physical world by the publication of Golden Dawn rituals and teachings for the public. At least for Third Order, I believe a personal journey is a must. Instead of following esoteric leaders, the Force will create circumstances that are conducive for Magic which the aspirant will submit to. 'In the future, everyone will be the Pharaoh for 15 minutes'.

3- Reality

The experience of Reality is radically different in the Third Order. One's conformance to the Reality of the masses is stretched to the limit. As the Kundalini starts to test the Kether, a new Reality becomes both desirable and inevitable. The very fabric of Things starts making no sense. Instead of developing a perception from ground up, one starts appreciating the perspective of future, where the current Reality is subordinated. This is not about thinking about future plans as an Escapism, but more like forever living in the Becoming which becomes self-sustaining. Then, manifestation or mundane situation makes no sense, as the aspirant has no belonging in either the material or mental realms of the present. This will still change the Reality, likely creating Temptations. I expect Reality to try to balance itself by creating a landing spot for the Aspirant. An Ipsissimus would never yield to such comfort, but might still be in possession of wealth, office, influence, etc. He might serve as the invisible order, changing conditions behind a veil. Such a permanent influence might be necessary to make sure material comfort and social status follows those who have achieved Enlightenment. Then, the Ipsissimus has a permanent inevitable action of providing for the Order.

4- Rebirth

By going through the Stillness, the Magister Templi is reborn with an Activated Soul. Having gained alignment with the Cosmic Consciousness, he is ready to command unconscious Forces. Such command is an effortless result of the Alchemical Transformation forced by the Force. Then, the Law becomes the Will, and service is rendered in silence. The mundane office or status of the Magister Templi would rise as both a condition of Temptation and necessary comfort. The general level of submission is slightly more relaxed than the Ipsissimus experience, and there is no larger claim as long as it is kept. Giving in to Temptation is likely to create a lot of pain, a Karma that would take progressively more effort to cleanse. Hence, the Magister Templi shall not consider Rebirth as a rinse-and-repeat, 'I repent' journey. Every Karmic descent creates an original struggle, with its fresh Demons that the physical and energetic bodies may not be able endure.

5- Effort

The major difference of an Aspirant initiated to the Third Order from the common Man is that his Will has become Inevitability. He is exempt from doing the math and science of social, financial, even physical concerns. His Work is alignment, submission, and Being. Hence, he thinks in terms of energies rather than consequences. The maestro of the energetic life is the Cosmic Consciousness. The Magister Templi is to only let himself be claimed when needed and rewarded when necessary. There is no Self, no individual Will, or aspiration. He finds the long sought for education, refinement, belonging, and love in the Cosmic Consciousness. In such a life, there are only permitted actions and permitted rewards. The Cosmic Consciousness is advanced beyond duality, so such dynamics is relevant to him. He is his own temptation and his own redemption. 'Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh'. For the Magister Templi, the action might be just a certain feeling, not even burdensome, but one that feels right. The reward is also subject to speculation, and it might be everything that is not a temptation. Hence, the Magister Templi embodies a certain fragment of Higher Intelligence, that is meaningful, supportive of Life, carries power, and helps give direction to the affairs of the World.
