 What is a Ritual? A ritual is an activity of the Will. Any action that takes root from the Will is a ritual. More rituals will bring the aspirant closer to newer Initiations. Every day and every hour you might be prompted to carry out a different ritual. These come from the Higher Will and direct your Life towards certain ends that are obscure to you. In order to find your ritual activity you can change your lifestyle and perspective as follows: Lead a life without purpose or efficiency. Do not block your urges for the benefit of more productivity. For example, if you do not have any money but still want to analyse stocks and follow the financial trends, do it. Do not postpone it until you have reasons to be interested in investing. Likewise, if after many days of investing research you end up not feeling motivated to put any money in any trades, do not. The Portal is envisaged by many aspirants as the gate for the daily consciousness to extend towards deeper realities. This is very flawed thinking. Taking the desire body together with the aspirant to the higher consciousness is a contradiction, as the desire body is lower than the mental body. What happens in the Portal grade is that the Astral (desire) body is set free. It does not bring any new motivations or passions to the mundane mind. It leads the aspirant through life, shapes his mundane mind with the necessary experiences, gives his life a meaning. After the work is finished, the desire body leaves the Initiate. The Portal is the realization of this fact and requires the Initiate to adapt to this new reality. His journey from being a Subject upon earth to becoming an Object has started.
