The Law of Mis-Attraction

I share my observations about the expanding Consciousness and undesirable magnetic consequences.

The Law of Mis-Attraction

There is a good deal of giving up on social validation and grandiose dreams on the Path to Enlightenment. For most of the Initiates, those who are born with greater range of Consciousness, it should be easy. The Adeptus Major (6=5) grade is the grade of Tears. Now, A. Crowley might have named his book 'Magick Without Tears', but magic is all about tears. There is a complicated system of Spiritual balances that works to this effect. Magical Power is the courage to Grieve all that has been lost, never to be recovered, or no longer desirable. It is the colour, motivation, grandiosity, entitlement, warmth, and promise of the World that is to be grieved.

An interesting consequence of practical magic of the 6=5 grade is the attraction of certain individuals to the Magician, almost through an invisible wire that alerts them to the fact that someone is about to achieve Enlightenment. These men are neither good nor evil, but act as agents to some Chaos power that controls them subliminally. Upon close examination, maybe through decades of psychoanalysis, an analyst may be able to describe a 'complex' in their psyche which extends from deep unconscious to the subconscious. S. Freud made some allusions to the apparent fact that unconscious is able to transcend personality and make invisible exchanges. Transference is the clinical term that already exists for this, but the esoteric view is that transference has potential to amount to mind control. Now, the complexes being rooted in the unconscious can make the individual do things for motives hidden from their 'main' personality. Again, clinically, there are fugue states where the consciousness is taken over by an 'alter', that is a complex grown all the way into a separate personality. For all intents and purposes, such men are 'demon possessed', and will stay so until they are Initiated. Hence, they can appear in the Initiate's door step without apparent rational reason. The Initiate knows that a tiny bit of enclave in their mind, extending to certain spiritual depths (Chaos depths), is indeed holding a gun against the Initiate. Clinical terminology would call the possessed 'triggered'. Close examination of various situations would place their triggers in Spiritual events, rather than social exchanges. However, such pitting of disciplines against each other is of no use. The Adept should be able to silence the Self and carry on with the work of Spiritual attainment. Every individual strives to be a respectable member of the Society, and more than that every Ego seeks a level of control. Now, resisting or rejecting men with complexes can result in them being able to rationalize their meaningless 'obsession' with the Adept. The dangerous outcome is that the Ego can now restore its sense of control, hence free itself from shame. Deep inside, the individual believes that they are 'crazed', 'envious', 'out-of-control', and 'less than good'. If they can rationalize their intruding behaviours, their flawed Ego can project its perceived bad qualities on the Adept. Hence, chaos characters that are mishandled would seek to drive the Adept crazy, prove he is worthless, make him jealous, and deny him control. This way, a regression takes place whereby the Chaos character gradually gives up his faulty Ego and embraces the complex. The more the complex is fed, the Ego needs to project with greater intensity. Sociopaths, psychopaths are examples of individuals who are so hopelessly devoid of Ego that they can never feel shame or guilt. Their actions are motivated by unconscious desires that serve to satisfy their complexes. Both sociopaths and men with mild complexes need a mask of sanity. The former due to their bad reputation and shaky social condition, and the latter due to an internal need of the Ego. The Adept should always preserve His calm and try to put the toxic, Chaos character in a social setting where they would be forced to give up dreams of hurt and retreat. There should be no blaming, no panic, but also no show of kindness. The Adept should allow situations to unfold at their pace. This way Adeptus Exemptus, 7=4 grade can be achieved.
